Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Zuwa ride-hailing and courier platform, owned and operated by Trenco Technologies Limited. Please read them carefully - they are written to be clear, and they matter.
01Acceptance & Eligibility
By creating an account or using Zuwa, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate, truthful information when registering. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the platform.
02What Zuwa Is
Zuwa is a technology platform that connects riders with independent drivers, and courier customers with delivery drivers. Drivers are independent service providers, not employees, agents or representatives of Trenco Technologies Limited. Zuwa provides the technology; the transport or delivery service is provided by the driver.
03Your Account
You are responsible for your account and everything done through it. Keep your login details secure, do not share your account with anyone, and notify us immediately through in-app support if you suspect unauthorised use. One person may hold one account. Duplicate or fraudulent accounts may be closed without notice.
04Fares & Payments
A fare estimate is shown before you confirm a trip or delivery, in line with Zambian ride-hailing regulations. The final charge may adjust for route changes, waiting time or additional stops that you request. Payment is made through the app via supported mobile money networks or other payment methods listed in the app. All fares are charged in Zambian Kwacha (ZMW).
05Cancellations
You may cancel a request free of charge within the window shown in the app. Cancelling after a driver has accepted and is on the way may attract a cancellation fee, which is always displayed before you confirm the cancellation. Drivers who repeatedly cancel accepted trips may be suspended.
06Conduct & Safety
Treat drivers, riders and couriers with respect. Weapons, illegal goods, dangerous materials, harassment, discrimination, threats, violence, intoxicated behaviour and abusive behaviour are prohibited. Wearing seatbelts is required on every trip. Drivers must comply with traffic laws and hold valid licences, police clearance and vehicle documents required by Zambian law.
07Courier Service Rules
You may not send prohibited items, including illegal goods, dangerous or flammable materials, weapons, undeclared cash, or restricted substances. You are responsible for accurately describing every parcel you send. Zuwa may refuse delivery, inspect a parcel with your knowledge, or report suspicious deliveries where required.
08Suspension & Termination
Trenco Technologies Limited may suspend or permanently remove any account for breach of these Terms, including misuse of another user's personal data, fraud, payment abuse, incentive gaming, unsafe conduct, abusive conduct, or off-platform dealing. Serious violations may be reported to law enforcement. You may close your account in the app.
09Liability
Zuwa works to keep the platform safe and available, but does not guarantee uninterrupted service. To the extent permitted by Zambian law, Trenco Technologies Limited is not liable for losses outside its reasonable control, including independent driver conduct, mobile network outages or force majeure. Nothing in these Terms removes or limits rights you have under Zambian consumer protection law.
10Disputes, Changes & Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Zambia. Complaints should first be raised through in-app support. Unresolved disputes may be referred to the competent Zambian courts. We may update these Terms and will notify you in the app of material changes before they take effect. Continued use after notice means you accept the updated Terms.
